If the smoker inhales the risk of lung cancer, pancreatic and bladder cancer, and heart and lung disease are greatly increased. Dangers of smoking cigars include risk of early tooth loss and alveolar bone loss. Cigar smokers are also more likely to be impotent and to suffer from erectile dysfunction than non-smokers.

Given the dangers of smoking cigars, you would think that people would avoid them, however cigar smoking is on the rise especially among young people who are easily influenced by the media. Tobacco companies use the media to glorify cigar smoking and to attract young people the dangers of smoking cigars.
