The electronic cigarette is a revolution for the smokers of the world. No longer do smokers have to travel outside of their work facilities or segregate themselves from the rest of the population. Electronic cigarettes contain no tobacco, are not lit, don't ash, and the "smoke" released is not a smoke at all, it is actually a vapor.
An electronic cigarette is battery powered and usually comes with a wall charger typical of regular electronics. Electronic cigarettes are capable of holding twenty-four hour charges and are usually designed to look like traditional cigarettes, offering a realistic experience for smokers. The device works when the user inhales through the mouthpiece and activates a heating element which vaporizes the nicotine solution found in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece can be refilled or replaced by the user when the nicotine runs out. When the nicotine in the mouthpiece is heated, it creates a vapor, which resembles the smoke of traditional cigarettes. The smoke has no smell of burning tobacco, but the smoker still gets the benefits craved through the nicotine delivered. The tip of the electronic cigarette is designed to set off an indicator light when it is activated by the inhalation of the user, giving off the same glow as a traditional cigarette.
Electronic cigarettes are considered healthier than their traditional counterparts are because the harmful chemical and agents found in traditional cigarettes are not present in electronic cigarettes. The only similarity that electronic cigarettes hold to traditional cigarettes is the presence of nicotine and a design, which resembles traditional cigarettes.
Various nicotine solution options exist for the user including those, which offer midrange doses and low doses of nicotine (which mimic light and ultra-light options of traditional cigarettes), various flavors, and some options which contain no nicotine at all.
